Écomusée vosgien de la Brasserie
48 Rue de Mirecourt, 88270 Ville-sur-Illon
The Villle-sur-Illon brewery has been an eco-museum since 1987 and has been offering brewing demonstrations since 1993, making it possible to continue producing a Ville-sur-Illon draft beer.
It was between 1887 and 1900 that Jacques Lobstein built the buildings of the future Grande Brasserie and Malterie Vosgienne, which had to make it possible to better adapt to the standards of industrial brewing. Around 1930, René Lobstein modernized brewing and built a magnificent Art Deco brewing room. The Brasserie stopped manufacturing the famous Vosges in 1956, but the company kept its activities until 1975.
During your visit, passionate volunteers will teach you their manufacturing secrets and each year a temporary exhibition will take you to the heart of the brewing world.
