The department of the Meuse offers you to discover the monumental work of Ipoustéguy thanks to this exhibition started during the "Ipoustéguy Centenary 2020 Season".

«Du Christ à Mac Gee», the first monumental work that Ipoustéguy made, in 1950 (30 years ago), at «L'Âge de la résolution», melted in 1999, fifteen large formats retrace the journey of one of the greatest French sculptors of the twentieth century.
Some of them are famous, such as «La Terre», exhibited at the Documenta de Kassel in 1964, or Val de Grâce, commissioned by the Ministry of Defence in 1977. Many others remain unknown.
Discover the hyperrealism of «La Naissance» (1968), the eroticism of «Maison» (1976) or the expressionism of «Scène de la vie moderne» (1976). Also amazing: ten large paintings (1966-1968) evoke anatomy, life and death. Curator: François Monnin.

This centre of contemporary art welcomes each year several creators from various horizons (visual artists, sculptors, painters, videographers, ceramists, photographers, engravers) making a privileged place for the emergence of artists of the territory. They exhibit alternately with artists of national or international renown.
"Expressions" is a Meusian association born in 1987\. Today it is an actor of cultural animation in the Meuse. She creates audio-visual creations, theatrical creations and organizes contemporary art exhibitions in the chapel of the Ville-Haute: Espace Saint-Louis. It also offers assistance in the territory’s cultural projects.
