Come and discover the church of Notre-Dame-des-Vertus and its rich furniture!

Built in the thirteenth century and rebuilt in the sixteenth century in a Gothic style, the church of Notre-Dame des Vertus owes its name to the patron saint of the parish, present in the form of a painting, a tüchlein (painted in tempera), very fine linen canvas, typical of northern schools, built in the 1500s. The building contains other outstanding statues and paintings.

The church was built on the foundations of the church Saint Martin in the XIIth century, then rebuilt entirely from 1544 till 1552\. It will not then cease being transformed and extended in the course of the centuries. Both side chapels and portal(gate) date the XIXth century. She(It) shelters numerous movable objects among which a silk painting of Notre-Dame-des-Vertus, a pulpit attributed(awarded) to the school of Ligier Richier, the burial of the House of Luxembourg-Ligny, a bell of 1505.
