Eglise Notre-Dame / Penvénan
Place de l'église, 22710, Penvénan
The parish church was completely rebuilt in 1837, on the site of a previous building destroyed by a hurricane in 1836\. Building of the 19th century from the outside, the contrast is great when one enters. In fact, during the reconstruction, the choice was made to preserve most of the liturgical furniture and the previous fittings of the eighteenth century. The High Altar is particularly spectacular because of its dimensions. A large painting of the Resurrection occupies the central place of the altarpiece. The south wing contains the altar of the ancient chapel of the Rosary, the existence of which is attested by a document of 1728\. The north wing is dedicated to Saint-Yves. In the back of the church, in the north collateral, a polychrome wooden tomb dating from 1703 caught the attention of the visitor.
