The Bouhier de Lantenay hotel, which houses the prefecture of region and department, is built between courtyard and garden. It includes a rectangular main and two short wings in return of square. The hotel has a second floor called "attic floor" (exceptionally open to the public). Its exterior decoration is made of continuous bossages for the courtyard facade, and pilaster for the garden facade whose central forebody is crowned with an oval dome.
Two activities are offered to visitors.
A GUIDED TOUR focusing on heritage and architecture
Two guided tours (architecture, heritage of the Hotel Bouhier de Lantenay) are offered this weekend at 14:30 on Sundays. No registration required. Simply make known its interest the same day to the hostesses by presenting 15 minutes before at 49 rue de la Préfecture.
A GUIDED TOUR OF THE DEPARTMENTAL OPERATIONAL CENTRE
The agents of the Directorate of Security of the prefecture will offer to the visitors a privileged and commented visit of the rooms used for the management of incidents and crises, located in the basement. (access by restricted groups - possibility of waiting)
Sunday 15:30, 16:15, 17:00. Registration on the same day with the hostesses present in the hall of honor.
