In order to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of France, the Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation de Picardie in partnership with the Departmental Council of the Aisne, offer an exhibition on the footsteps of General de Gaulle through the Battle of France, the Appeal of June 18 and the Exodus.

This place, at once a museum and a memorial, owes its existence to the will of old(former) Resistance fighters and transported convicts. He(It) presents war and its implications in the region through archives, through historical documents, through an exceptional collection of objects having gathered(collected) for more than 20 years with as guiding principle resistance and deportation. The museographic route(course) divides into spaces themes centered on the history(story) of resistance in Picardy while inserting it in a more total prospect(perspective).
