About the location

Salle de spectacle Le Pari
21 rue Georges Clémenceau, 65000 Tarbes
  • Hautes-Pyrénées
  • Occitanie
In the beginning there was the Paris. Built on a former wash-house, the Paris wanted to be cinema and lyrical theatre. It will open its doors in 1949, only in its cinema format, hosting until the 1990s several generations of Tarbais.e.s.
In 2001, the new municipality, under the impetus of its new Mayor Gérard Trémège, made the bet to create an artistic factory dedicated to live performance and contemporary creation. In 2004, Pari was born. After 18 months of work, it opens its doors in the form of a vast cultural space. A unique place for the expression of the arts of theatre, dance, singing, circus and music.
Giving young companies a chance and focusing on the new generation of artists, Paris will lose its «s» for the occasion and become the Pari.
