In the majestic setting of the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Bazas, the company Vox Cantoris of Jean-Christophe Candau, rediscovers the musical heritage of New Aquitaine from the funds of the Cathedral of Mexico and the convents, in particular that of the Incarnation.
A repertoire astonishing by the richness of his works!

The cathedral was built for the first time in the XIIth century (Romanic style). The bottom(stocking) of the bell tower stays today only. In 1233, they lay the foundations of the Gothic Cathedral: with his(her,its) triple portal(gate) adorned with 290 statues. Dedicated in 1095 by the pope Urbain II, to saint Jean Baptiste, the Cathedral will know different architectural evolutions until the XIXth century. Joined with the Cathedral is the garden of the chapter, inheritance of the old(former) episcopal palace.
