The Gué-Hébert wash house dates back to the early 19th century. It was built on the banks of the Rânette stream. At the liberation, in 1944, very damaged again, it was restored and covered with mechanical tiles. With the help of the Normandy-Maine Regional Natural Park and its architect, from the host country, the municipality restored it in accordance with the plans of the 19th century, found in the departmental archives. In 1990, Rânes participated in a competition organized by the Société pour la Protection des Paysages et de l'Esthétique de la France Sites et Monuments pour les communes de moins de 10 0000 habitants.
