The CAUE de la Somme proposes a route on the banks of the Somme in the heart of the city of Amiens to initiate to the reading of urban landscape (heritage, architecture and nature) by the practice of drawing «in situ».

COVID-19 Specific Provisions: Basic, single-use drawing material will be made available to each participant. You are free to bring your own drawing material. A hydro-alcoholic solution will be proposed and the wearing of the mask will be recommended during this action.

In the heart of the Amienoise city, at the original confluence of the Avre River and the Somme, a district is today in full effervescence. Historically the port of Aval is the first port of the city. Not far away, Place Vogel stands at the crossroads of natural elements and infrastructure in the heart of a range of Amiens city districts dating from various eras. The site is still being transformed and questions remain about the future of the wasteland and the possible conversion of the Saint-Michel plant. Strategic crossing zone, city entrance by the river, this area of town presents a face with multiple landscape, urban and architectural features.
