The exhibition consists of 49 panels on tarpaulin, and offers a new perspective on the African continent and on science and technology.
The valorisation of the cultures and heritages of the Black World, in their universal dimension, is essential for the construction of identity of young and old, coming from the diaspora or not.
The guided tours offered to the general public are held by the guides-speakers of the city of art and history, or by the members of the associations Karucréa and Racines.

The Maison de l'architecture et du patrimoine de la ville de Basse-Terre occupies an old bourgeois residence from the early 19th century restored in 2002\. As the C.I.A.P (Centre d'interprétation de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine) it sensitizes the public to the history, architecture and urbanism of the city of art and history and offers fixed or à la carte guided tours, heritage workshops (school and holiday centres), exhibitions on various themes and varied cultural activities (conferences, concerts...).
