The volunteers who take care of the ruins of Montcornet have prepared a discovery tour for you throughout the castle.
This one has been badly damaged by wars and time, but you will pass on the drawbridges, cross the guards' rooms, the lord’s room, the kitchens, you will go up into the rooms, play hide-and-seek in the very long underground. You will seek prison, you can even settle on the throne of the lord of the castle!
This course will allow you to know more and become a future champion in history!
Two discovery trails are available:
– for 7 – 12 years: The visit of the Pages and the Little Damsels
– for 11 – 14 year olds: Life in the Middle Ages
(The latter follows the curriculum of history courses on the Middle Ages of pupils in classes of 5th)
The castle will of course also be open to adults, at half-price during the European Heritage Days. Come discover this mysterious fortress and its development through time!
Attention: opening Friday for school by appointment!
