Wise men and humanists…

They concealed hidden messages and symbols in their books and in their learned language. They met in the secret of the courts and traboules, among the rich as among the craftsmen. They reveled in the mysterious nectar of the kabbalah. They questioned magic as well as philosophy. They invented day by day a humanism that goes beyond dogmas and rivalries.

Printers and their secret companies…

Gutemberg’s revolutionary invention had a prodigious development in Lyon, and thousands of books came out of the presses of the great printers between Saône and Rhône. But with this new know-how, it is also ancient knowledge and symbols that were transmitted in the secret of the initiations…
This tour takes place on foot, lasts an hour and a half and explores the streets of Old Lyon as well as some streets of the Presqu'île. She proposes her projections of portraits, moments of great history interspersed with much less serious historiettes (false alchemists, tricky dowsers and cheating astrologers…).
