Eyes in the stars! Four backlit works by artist Guillaume Bottazzi in Lyon
These four backlit works by artist Guillaume Bottazzi are intended to soothe the observer. Light, they are composed of Prussian blue, turquoise blue and white, or purple, fuchsia and white.
Works of art that do us good!
The artist’s works were the subject of a scientific study conducted by neuroscientists Helmut Leder and Marcos Nadal of the University of Vienna in Austria, entitled «The art of curves in the real world: a psychological look at the art of Guillaume Bottazzi». This study proves that the works of Guillaume Bottazzi tend to reduce the viewer’s anxiety and that they promote dopamine activity. In short, they contribute to our well-being.
The poetics of public spaces place the human at the heart of the artist’s concerns. The public is invited to travel and dream with the works. They accompany the passerby in his daily life; he will reinvent them according to his mood, the seasons, and the time when he observes them.
