The exhibition highlights this little-known heritage and offers both historical and architectural lighting. On the territory of Saint-Etienne, a typology of five residences, according to their physical and historical contexts, was identified as follows: the factory castle the town castle the pleasure house the agricultural estate the historic castle
These castles and their outbuildings are of a great formal and stylistic diversity, like the eclecticism in vogue in the nineteenth century.

A conference will be held in L'Échappé on Friday 18 September from 19:30 to inaugurate this event.
