In 1875, the old Romance church of the district of Châteauneuf is destroyed. Other one, of neo-Gothic style, is rebuilt a little farther and to a great extent financed by the entrepreneurs(contractors) of the Weapons factory. In 1897, further to Russian mission, a sculpted and golden bumblebee arrives in station of Châtellerault, present offered by the czar Nicolas II to the parish of Châteauneuf, who(which) is in the bell tower of Saint Jean today.
