Musée d’Archéologie Précolombienne et de Préhistoire de la Martinique
9 rue de la Liberté 97200 Fort-de-France
Most of the artifacts are made up of nearly 3,000 pieces of pre-Columbian archaeology. It is the richest and most diverse collection in the Lesser Antilles. In addition to this archaeological background, there is an iconographic background and an ethnographic background, acquired in 2007, which testifies to the daily life of the Arawak-speaking peoples in Colombia and Venezuela of the mid-20th century. Through its six thematic rooms, the museum exhibits in images, sounds, words and precious objects all the richness of Native American civilizations.
