Françoise de Graffigny (1695-1758) is only 29 years old, and she becomes one of the characters main thing(head teacher) of the court(yard). Neither deuils, nor tests(events) put out(switch off) his(her, its) vitality. It would be even possible to think, on the contrary, because she adopts(accepts) a philosophy where the small concerns of the everyday life(daily paper) are very secondary.

The presence of an ivory museum in Commercy, the second in France after that of Dieppe, is not related to the existence of a local production centre, but to the constitution of a collection brought together by Doctor Albert Guillaume Boyer.
Bequeathed to the town of Commercy in 1909, the collection was presented for the first time in 1920 in the old town hall of Commercy. The Boyer legacy also includes ceramics. The Museum is housed in an Art Deco building. The legacy of Dr.Boyer made it possible to build a collection of ivory, painting, but also ancient weapons and porcelain.
