Pursuer the work committed(hired) since 2000 around contemporary Art, departmental Preservation of heritage and of museums / Flaran dedicates, every year, a time(weather) of its programme planning(programming) to the welcome(reception) of a contemporary artist.
Installed(Settled) for more than twenty years in Aquitaine, Paul Storey (on 1957, London), native Irish, begins(affects) studies of engineer before falling over definitely towards Fine Arts, in particular in Royal Middle school(College) of Art in London in 1984. Of globe-trottings in personal exhibitions(exposures), he chooses, in 1989, to settle down definitely in France, in region Aquitaine, to dedicate himself entirely to his art.
Present as artist in the collection Simonow, he(it) has wished to visit again today, the traditional themes of Christian iconography across this new plastic, this afternoon severe and melancholic work, this afternoon(sometimes) of more mystical spirit, which models itself, the time(weather) of an exhibition(exposure), in the large cisterciens spaces of the minster of Flaran. A catalogue accompanies exhibition(exposure). Abbey of Flaran, minster. Until September 30th, 2018.
