The tower-fortress of the Castle of Monthoiron is a key monument in the history(story) of the military architecture of Renaissance: it is the line(feature) of union between the medieval fortifications and those bastionnées said of Vauban. The fatherhood of Léonard de Vinci motivated the classification(ranking) of the Tower Fortress in 1996 and saw itself confirmed by the scientific community during the colloquium of Romorantin in 2010, resulting in a first phase of protection(saving) which began in 2014\. The tower is open to the public since 2016.
