Located in Saintonge, the castle of Plassac, with its tower of the Pilgrim located on the paths(ways) of Santiago de Compostela, was successively the property of the duke of Épernon and of the marquess of Montazet who decided in full Age of the Enlightenment to shave the old(former) medieval castle to establish this splendid house reconstruction of which was finished(ended) in 1772\. His(Her,Its) architecture joins the descendants of the big(great) theatre of Bordeaux and of the place(square) of the Palais Royal of Paris. Shortly after, the counts of Dampierre inherited from Plassac and occupy it even at present. The Castle of Plassac is also a vineyard(wine sector).
