«forbidden Images of First World War»: this exhibition(exposure) reproduces 40 photographies which were never seen by the contemporaries of conflict. Some people of them reveal military secrets and think there too much on material(equipment) or strategy. Others put forward(advance) the suffering of the men(people) and the violence of fights. Taken from 1915, all were censored(banned) by the army and the public authorities of time(period) to preserve French military interests, but also because their distribution(broadcasting) could question internal stability, support of the population for national cause and French diplomatic interests.
