Basilique Saint Benoît-Joseph Labre
5 chemin de la Ragondilière, 86370 Marçay
Building of neo-Gothic style built at the end of the XIXth century by diocésain, friendly Alcide Boutaud, architect of the writer Joris-Karl Huysmans, for whom he made build the house always visible(obvious) in Ligugé. It presents a floral decoration(set) sculpted indoors with beautiful stained-glass windows realised by the workshop(studio) " Claudius Lavergne ". The church with double transept contains a facade not finished(ended) following the stop(ruling) of works in 1899\. The gallery - cloister external in the nave is exceptional.
