Visit free of the ecomuseum of the bay(berry) of the Mont-Saint-Michel
Next to shore with a fantastic view over the Mont Saint-Michel, the ecomuseum of the Bay(Berry) is a centre of interpretation(performance) allowing to discover the functioning of the natural circles of the Bay(Berry), the way the man exploits(runs) for centuries these very particular(special) spaces and the evolution of landscapes through ages.
On more of 400m ², the permanent exhibition allows to include the evolution of the flora and fauna in the course of seasons, as well as the characteristics of the different natural circles. The conservation of these balances establishes(constitutes) a major stake for this space registered on the world heritage of the UNESCO today. The man saw in this environment(middle) and always exploited(ran) treasures. In the past, he(it) extracted from it the salt by an original process, today missing. The workshop(studio) of the saunier again makes discover this ancestral technique.
The professional fishing from the shore in the past very active, is replaced little by little with new activities, as the breeding of oysters, moulds(mussels) and of sheeps(muttons) of meadows today - savoury foods. Two exhibition halls present these activities and their evolutions. All these spaces, decorated with movies, with models, with electronic communication and information terminals are within the reach of the big(great) as youngs.
