About the location
Église Saint-Jacques
Rue de Paris - 60000 Beauvais
Oise
Hauts-de-France
The church Saint Jacques was built in 1875 by the architect Delefortrie, who also conceived(designed) the chapel San José de Beauvais. The ornamentation of the church was confided(entrusted) to local artists, among which the Boulenger factory in Auneuil for the tiles(window panes) of paving and the beauvaisien Lévêque master(teacher)-glazier for stained-glass windows. This building replaces the old(former) church Saint Jacques, built in the XIVth century at the heart of the suburb of the same name. Having sold as very National in Revolution, she(it) is redeployed to houses.
