The coastal battery(drum kit) of the Day-nursery(Crib) occupies the site of the old(former) fort of Terlincthun, element of defence of the Right camp, at the time when Napoleon coveted to pervade England. It was built after the defeat of Sedan during the huge plan of setting-up(presence) of a new defensive cordon. Works of 1879, testify of this time(period). They also discover to it constructions implanted by French Navy between 1936 and 1940 and German works.
