The House of Jules Verne opens you free its doors. Of the winter garden to its study, discover sources of inspiration, memories(souvenirs) of Jules Verne and adventures of his heroin. A journey in time(weather) in the atmosphere of a mansion of the XIXth century, in the discovery of the everyday life of the famous writer.
Since its acquisition in 2000, the collection Jules Verne has never fallen asleep on its laurels. In an uninterrupted way, the Libraries(Bookcases) of Amiens Métropole proceeded to purchases to enrich this major fund(collection) of the written patrimony amiénois.
For Heritage Days, temporary exhibition(exposure) «Jules Verne, new collection: acquisition 2017-2018» will be presented to you and will allow you to discover the last acquisitions of the Libraries(Bookcases) of Amiens Métropole enriching its Collection Jules Verne.

The House in which Jules Verne lived 18 years from 1882 till 1900, suggests you in everyday life, work, of sources of inspiration and of the personality of Jules Verne across more than 700 objects and exposed(explained) documents. On the ground floor with its entirely re-furnished(re-filled) rooms(parts,plays) of splendour, up to the attic, find the atmosphere of an authentic mansion of the XIXth century and go off to explore the universe of Jules Verne, of its life in Amiens and the adventures of its heroin.
