exhibition(exposure) redraws the history(story) of three main bridges(decks) of the city - the bridge(deck) Saint-Louis, the bridge(deck) Solferino and the New Bridge(Deck) resting on a rich and neglected selection of models, drawings, photographies, objects, paintings(paints) and archive documents coming from collections of the museum Antoine Vivenel and some loans.
The route(course) aims at replacing these three works in the history(story) of the engineering of bridges(decks), as well as at revealing narrow links between the bridge(deck) and the city around some keynotes: town planning, access to the city, traffic(circulation), activities.
This exhibition(exposure) so highlights the rich history(story) of Compiègne while presenting documents for some totally unpublished such photographies realised by ARCHITECT A.L. Guillaume, one of the actors of the reconstruction of Compiègne of postwar years.
