Constructed a first time in 1355, rebuilt between 1716 and 1724, he(it) was listed(classified) in conformance with(for) historic monuments in 1947 together with the town hall attenant1\. He(It) is a member(part) of 23 belfries which were listed(classified) in the world heritage of the United Nations Organization for education, science and culture (UNESCO) in 2005 within the list of the «belfries of Belgium and of France». The first belfry of Aire-sur-la-Lys comes into the world in 1355\. The current building comes from a reconstruction between 1716 and 1724 by the architect Héroguel.
