The Town hall of Rambervillers, almost entirely rebuilt in 1581 after the fire ordered by the baron of Pollwiller in 1557, is a splendid evidence of architecture Renaissance in Vosges.
On his(her, its) characteristic facade dominated by the horizontal lines, leaky of two-light frames, you will also discover superbly finely wrought pilasters and sculptures of a big(great) sharpness(delicacy).
After the courtyard, a rare staircase with screw leads(drives) you towards the lounge(show) of honour, where will comment on several works of art one lighting(enlightening) the history(story) of the City. Rambervillers was indeed awarded the Legion of Honor after the heroic attitude during the conflict of 1870.
