Visit organised by Mr Claude Lefèbvre archaeologist and specialist of the aqueduct.
Visit of the pond of regulation and of the restored arks, bank of Ars-sur-Moselle. Resumption of vehicles for a visit of the big(great) arks of Jouy and of final pond.

Roman aqueduct of 22 kilometres connecting(binding) the source(spring) of Broths of Gorze with the city of Metz, built by the beginning of the IIth century. Listed(Classified) in conformance with(for) historic monuments since 1840\. Old(Former) Divodurum (Metz), counting 20 000 inhabitants, required a water supply of source(spring) to feed fountains, thermal baths and latrines. This aqueduct passes(spends,crosses) 208 m of height to 184 m. He(It) contains 12,7 km of underground passage, a bridge(deck) with arcades visible in Ars-sur-Moselle and Jouy-aux-Arches, then again 8 km of underground passage.
