On the occasion of the 35th edition(publishing) of European Heritage Days, the Hotel of Prefecture of the Haut-Rhin, located 7, street Bruat in Colmar, will open its doors unusually to the public:

In programme, visit free or guided by the building which welcomes the prefect, since its edification in the XIXth century, representing the State in the department.
Opportunity to discover or to rediscover the time(weather) of half a day a place steeped in history.
The afternoon will take place in two guided tours (14 h 00 and 16 h 00) or in free access of 14 h 00 - 18 00.
The entrance(entry) within the prefecture will be conditioned at the presentation(display) of an identification document.

The central building(ship), flanked(thrown) by a double row of side wings, was built between 1862 and 1866 on plans identical to those of the Prefecture of the Haute-Marne. His architect, The Fuel oil, moreover worked for the Louvre and the castle of Fontainebleau. The building(ship) receives services(departments) of the prefecture (meeting rooms, reception halls, ministerial room(chamber)), as well as the apartments of the Prefect.
