Film Duration: 45 min. In English with French subtitles.

Present at the screening will be the Director, Steven Ritz-Barr, and Joan’s voice, Andia Winslow, and two puppets- Joan and her horse.

After the film, a presentation by director Steven Ritz-Barr titled: Transposition of an Icon – The Legend of Joan of Arc- a puppet film. Discover the wings of the animation stage, and learn how the film was made-  with a demonstration of how the voice was produced from human to puppet.

Steven Ritz-Barr has practised Puppetry Arts for almost 4 decades, first in the theatre, then cinema and television in France (Les Guignols de L’info, Lustrucru PR de Jean-Pierre Jeunet, etc) then in Hollywood (Batman Returns, Men in Black, Alien 4...). Since 2007 he has concentrated entirely on his company, Classics in Miniature® with the objective to give new life to classic heroes (Faust, 2008; Don Quixote , 2010) using traditionally styled sophisticated string puppets.

The native House of Jeanne d'Arc: Acquired by the departmental Council(Advise) of Vosges in 1818, and listed(classified) in conformance with(for) historic monuments in 1840, the native House of Jeanne d'Arc, by the 15th century, is nearby immediate of the parish church, in a garden sported and adorned with a neoclassical memorial.
The Centre "Faces of Jehanne" Adjoining the native House, it presents the permanent exhibition "Faces of Jehanne" in the big(great) gallery. Throughout this route(course), illuminated toilets(offices) allow to explore the medieval company(society).
