The Chapel Notre-Dame of Iré, to the memory of the miraculous virgin found hereabouts. The chapel was based(established) in the XIIth century and rebuilt in the XVth and XVIth centuries. The cemetery shelters old graves, of which that of the general Henrion, baron d' Empire and his descendants. The path(way) of orchards overhangs the stream " Le Chabot ". The "Oak of the Attack" is a remarkable tree of 600 years and always green, which was the place of meeting of battle between Loon of Altar and Antoine de Bourgogne in 1412\. The margin of the wood follows trenches of 1914\. At that time, Montmédy was city strong in support for the French armies, during battles of August, 1914\. Seen on the Citadel of Montmédy (Vauban) which was gained(won) in Spain by France during the seat(siege) of Louis XIV.
