If preservation establishes(constitutes) one of the main activities of a patrimonial fund(collection), the librarians sometimes have the pleasure to supplement the local collections by new acquisitions, that it is about gifts(donations) or about purchases.
Naturally, the constraint of the space being particularly important in the patrimonial bottoms, it is not possible to accept everything or to buy everything and they concentrate principally on the works of local history(story) as well as on those having links with the existent collections.
These visits will be a chance in particular to discover a very beautiful Book of hours illuminated by the XVth century, recently offered by the philomathique Company(Society) of Verdun to the Library(Bookcase) of study of Big(Great) Verdun and who will be presented for the first time to the public Come in large numbers admire this treasure of our written patrimony!
