The neo-Romance church, built in the alignment of its beautiful Romanic bell tower listed(classified) in conformance with historic monuments and object of a subscription with the Heritage foundation, is the head - of work of Jean-Baptiste Schacre father. Built, decoration(set) and furniture represent a concentrated solution of the neo-Romanic arts and crafts of the 19th century and make, in that capacity, the object of a demand(request) of protection in conformance with(for) the current(in class) historic monuments. On the occasion of JEP, the decoration of the chorus(choir) will be inspired of the previous big(great) holy days.
In response, the exhibition(exposure) in the old(former) room of the restored nursery school, overhanging the ancient fountain of Saint-Pantaléon, will present the history(story) of 3 successive churches of this very old(former) wine-making village, across works of art (of the novel in the neo-novel in echo), objects and archives – such the original plans © of architect, recently found, which will be published by ADESP in a work to appear to Christmas.
To celebrate, on Sunday, September 16th, the 140th birthday(anniversary) of the consecration of the church, at 10 h 15: Church service chaired by the canon winegrower, and livened up(led) by the choir Saint-Cecil and The Medieval (singings(songs) in French, Gregorian and German), Harmony Saint-Cecil (instruments with wind and wood) and the games(sets) of the organ Roethinger. - Guided tours:
In illustration of the theme of JEP 2018 on «the art of division(sharing)», ADESP (Association of the Friends of the church Saint-Pantaléon) joins to the «Reports of Kuckucktstei» to propose you a patrimonial route(course) going of the big(great) court(yard) of the city council around the dating of houses (from the 15th to the 18th s.) from Gueberschwihr, up to the church Saint-Pantaléon and its accesses(neighborhoods), including(comprising) the maternal former school which surmounts(overcomes) the ancient eponym fountain.
