Glass reports in Argonne
Memory(Souvenir), gratitude(recognition), pain expressed themselves after the war in the numerous, memorial stained-glass windows in Country of Argonne. Offered by families, municipalities, parishioners... Some took the place(square) of the destroyed stained-glass windows. Exhibition(Exposure) will put you at the heart of the big(great) memory construction site(work) which followed the 1st World war across fragments, reproductions, cardboards(boxes) of workshops(studios), original movies, the discovery of techniques of the stained-glass window.
A room stays devoted to the daily uses of the glass by the soldiers and to the impact of conflict on ancient glass heritage argonnais.
