The Charles-de-Bruyères museum invites you to come discover its last exhibition(exposure) on the pottery of tin in Lorraine. These rare collector's items testify a craft(home-made) practice which was flourishing in Lorraine, but from that almost all of production disappeared.
Tin of Remiremont was lucky enough(had the opportunity) to have a more merciful fate(spell), more particularly the production of the master(teacher) potter Jean-Nicolas Matrel. This happy combination of circumstances and many mentions(grades) in archives made of this master(teacher) one of the biggest(greatest) names of discipline. But other étainiers masters(teachers) precursors and contemporaries are also there.
This exhibition(exposure) compares the pottery of tin romarimontaine with that of other production sites of Lorraine. So brushed landscape allows to realise evolutions and influence on the subject in the course of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Guided tours of exhibition(exposure) are also programmed to help you to dive in this rich, aesthetic and fascinating universe!
