Collegiale Saint-Etienne - Sépulcre de Ligier Richier
rue du Général Audéoud, 55300 Saint-Mihiel
Building of the XVIth century, restored in the XIXth centuries. The sepulchre or "entombment", the sponsor(sleeping partner) of which stayed unknown, seems to be realised between 1554 and 1564 by Ligier Richier, sculptor of great renown born by 1500 to saint Mihiel. It is one of his(her, its) last works. It is undoubtedly the son of the sculptor, who installed(settled) him in the enfeu opening Saint-Étienne on the south shoulder of the church.
