The origin of the Museum of Princerie is intrinsically bound(connected) to the activity of a company(society) of local erudite persons, the Philomathique company, based(established) in 1822 by Hubert Lucas, professor of sciences to the middle school(college) of Verdun. First " public cabinet(office) " of natural history, devoted to geology, botany, paleontology and fauna(crowd), the Philomathique company is going to enlarge little by little and concentrates its researches(searches) on history(story), principally local, as majority erudite companies(societies) of the XIXth century. The fund(collection) of works of the Company(Society) is always kept(preserved) to the Museum of Princerie.
