About the location

Abbaye royale de Saint-Arnoul
7 rue aux Ours, 57000 Metz
  • Moselle
  • Grand Est
After the seat(siege) of Metz by Charles the Fifth in 1552, the first abbey Benedictine Saint-Arnoul was destroyed and transferred, with the imperial graves, inside ramparts in the Dominican convent built in 1221, convent which, except for the church, was rebuilt in the XVIIth century. It is possible to see these buildings(ships), with especially the cloister, the old(former) refectory and the old(former) sacristy today.
