Castle begun by François de Saint-Grin in 1530\. At the end of the XVIIth century, castle and seigniory passed to Gabriel de Roseaux, sergeant(corporal) of the armies of the King. Property will be completely altered in 1878 by his owner, sir Charles Varinot, railroad entrepreneur(contractor).
