The castle of Genillé is an old(former) manorial home. It was built in the XVth century by the Lords of the place and extended in next centuries. Fernand Raoul-Duval, Parisian engineer, settles down in Genillé in 1863\. It gathers(combines) around the castle a large domain 1400 hectare and made build, in 1874, a farm equipped with the last technological innovations (tractors and stream reaper, mill and press working by means of wind turbines). The New Farm is inaugurated on September 16th, 1877 by the marshal - president Mac Mahon.
