Find in the room of the Staircase a bright exhibition(exposure) on this episode of Hundred Years' War. The battle of Cravant was one of the numerous episodes of the fight(wrestling) which brought into conflict during more than hundred years the houses of France and of England for the conquest of the crown of France. On July 31st, 1423 the Burgundian conquered the French troops. It was a dreadful mêlée(scrum): 1200 soldiers of the troops of the King de France stayed on the battlefield, and the Scottish people were killed to a great extent on the spot. A stele memorialises this battle at the foot of the Donjon of Cravant (photo).
