Located next to old(former) centre of Vans, the museum is installed(settled) in the buildings(ships) of an old(former) convent and of an old(former) silk shadowing(spinning).
Across five exhibitions(exposures) the museum reveals the different facets of a very contrasting territory but which forms a whole peculiar: Ardèche Cévenne. The collections of geology, of archaeology, of ethnography and of medicine make discover nature, culture or personality of the men(people) who manufactured this historic region.
In this territory characterised by an important diversity of the basement, rocks, fossils and minerals are the witnesses(batons) of missing worlds and reveal an old history(story) of 550 million years.
