The Joseph Déchelette Museum hosts the presentation of the 6th Joseph Déchelette European Prize in Archaeology, a biennial award endowed with €10,000 which rewards the doctoral research of a young archaeologist in European protohistory.
Created in 2016 at the initiative of the association Joseph Déchelette, the prize brings together an international jury and a dozen European institutional partners.
From 2 p.m., the museum library hosts the award ceremony, followed at 3 p.m. by the laureate’s lecture and then a friendly moment in the museum garden. At the same time, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the museum opens its doors to the general public with guided tours and an art practice workshop around the exhibition As the line progresses.
