Vom 6. bis 20. April 2023 fand auf dem Place Ligonnier im alten Zentrum von Thouars eine archäologische Diagnostik-Operation eines Teams des INRAP statt. Die Intervention hat ein bürgerliches Wohnhaus ans Licht gebracht, dessen Fundamente aus dem 14. oder sogar der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts stammen sollen. Das Gebäude wurde dann in ein Privathaus umgewandelt und erlebte zahlreiche Umbauten, bis es im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts zerstört wurde.
Eine Präsentation der Ergebnisse wird der Öffentlichkeit angeboten. Wir werden die strukturelle und räumliche Organisation des Gebäudes im Laufe der Zeit ansprechen. Wir werden auch die Punkte ansprechen, die mit der Geschichte des Viertels Saint-Pierre zusammenhängen.

An archaeological diagnostic operation conducted by a team from INRAP took place from April 6 to 20, 2023, on the Place Ligonnier, in the old center of Thouars. The intervention brought to light a bourgeois residence whose foundations date back to the 14th century, or even to the second half of the 13th century. The building was then transformed into a private mansion and underwent many renovations until its destruction in the course of the 20th century.
A presentation of the results is proposed to the public. We will address the structural and spatial organization of the building over time. We will also discuss the points of correlation with the history of the Saint-Pierre district.

Un'operazione di diagnosi archeologica condotta da una squadra dell'Inrap, si è svolta dal 6 al 20 aprile 2023 in piazza Ligonnier, nel centro storico di Thouars. L'intervento ha portato alla luce una casa borghese le cui fondamenta risalgono al XIV secolo, o addirittura alla seconda metà del XIII secolo. L'edificio si trasforma poi in una residenza privata e subisce numerose modifiche fino alla sua distruzione nel corso del XX secolo.
Una presentazione dei risultati è offerta al pubblico. Affronteremo l'organizzazione strutturale e spaziale dell'edificio nel tempo. Discuteremo anche i punti di correlazione con la storia del quartiere Saint-Pierre.

Une opération de diagnostic archéologique menée par une équipe de l’Inrap, s’est déroulée du 06 au 20 avril 2023 sur la place Ligonnier, dans le centre ancien de Thouars. L’intervention a mis au jour une demeure bourgeoise dont les fondations remonteraient au XIVe siècle, voire à la seconde moitié du XIIIe siècle. L’édifice se transforme ensuite en hôtel particulier et connaît de nombreux remaniements jusqu’à sa destruction dans le courant du XXe siècle.
Une présentation des résultats est proposée au public. Nous aborderons l’organisation structurelle et spatiale du bâtiment au gré du temps. Nous évoquerons également les points de corrélation avec l’histoire du quartier Saint-Pierre.

Una operación de diagnóstico arqueológico realizada por un equipo del INRAP, se llevó a cabo del 6 al 20 de abril de 2023 en la plaza Ligonnier, en el centro histórico de Thouars. La intervención puso al descubierto una casa burguesa cuyas fundaciones se remontarían al siglo XIV, o incluso a la segunda mitad del siglo XIII. El edificio se convierte en una mansión particular y sufre numerosas remodelaciones hasta su destrucción a lo largo del siglo XX.
Se ofrece al público una presentación de los resultados. Abordaremos la organización estructural y espacial del edificio a medida que pase el tiempo. También mencionaremos los puntos de correlación con la historia del barrio Saint-Pierre.
