The museum in Kezmarok is located in the originally Gothic Kezmarok castle from the 15-th century, rebuilt later into a stingy renaissance residence. It is located in the picturesque historic town of Kezmarok, which lies under the High Tatras. In addition to permanent expositions representing the history of the castle and the city, the museum also offers various activities for schools and the general public. These include the offer of educational activities for schools on various topics of regional history, creative workshops linked to customs during annual holidays, professional lectures and moderated tours during the night of museums and other events. The museum also organizes concerts or popular night theater performances in the castle premises and in its courtyard. The museum has been connected to the traditional program for the sixth year with activities organized within the framework of the European days of Archaeology.
Access
The town of Kezmarok is accessible by bus and train, from the bus and train station it is to Kezmarok Castle 15 minutes by comfortable walking. Directly to Kezmarski Castle can be reached by car, in the immediate vicinity there is paid parking suitable for buses.
