Konferenz in deutscher Sprache zur offiziellen Eröffnung der Europäischen Archäologischen Tage durch Christiane Bis-Worch (INRA) mit Unterstützung der Gemeinde Echternach, Andrea Bischof (INRA), Daniele Marincola (DokuPlus), Lengyel-Toulouse Architekten, Daniel Giorgetti (HLG), Dazu gehören Alex Stagl, Fabian Benedikt (Novetus/TerraProspekt), Klaus Löcker, Jakob Gallistl und Hannes Schiel (Geosphere Austria).

Versteckt hinter dem Bauzaun fanden bis März dieses Jahres kleinere archäologische Ausgrabungen statt, insbesondere in der „Schattenzone“ der alten Zufahrtsstraße zur Baustelle. Diese war erst nach der Errichtung des Bauzauns und der provisorischen Brücke über die historischen Strukturen im Bereich der ehemaligen kleinen Marquise zugänglich.
So klein dieser Bereich im Vergleich zum Rest des Geländes auch sein mag, die dort gemachten Entdeckungen sind umso wichtiger, da sie die Ergebnisse früherer Analysen und Annahmen bestätigen und ergänzen.
Darüber hinaus werden wir auch die jüngsten geophysikalischen Analysen und virtuellen Rekonstruktionen vorstellen, die wir an mehreren Stellen im Rahmen der Untersuchung früherer Ausgrabungen in Echternach durchgeführt haben und die innovative Informationen über die Entwicklungsgeschichte der Stadt lieferten. vor allem in der gegend um die abtei.
Um die Bürger über den Stand der Arbeiten und die archäologischen Funde des INRA auf dem Gelände der Petite Marquise zu informieren, organisiert die Gemeinde Echternach am 12. Juni 2026 im Rahmen der Europäischen Tage der Archäologie eine Informationsveranstaltung im Trifolion Echternach. Alle interessierten Bürger sind herzlich eingeladen, daran teilzunehmen.
Der Abend endet mit einem Ehrenwein, der von der Stadt Echternach angeboten wird. die zeit wird also für diskussionen und den austausch von ideen günstig sein.

Hidden behind the construction site fence, smaller archeological excavations took place until March this year, particularly in the “shadow zone” of the former access road to the construction site, which was only accessible after the construction fence and the temporary bridge spanning the historic structures in the area of the former Petite Marquise.
As small as this area may have been compared to the rest of the field, the discoveries that have been made there are all the more important, as they confirm and perfectly complement the results of previous analyzes and hypotheses.
In addition, we will also present the recent geophysical analyzes and virtual reconstructions that we have carried out in several places as part of the study of the excavations prior to Echternach and which have provided innovative information on the history of the development of the city, especially in the area around the abbey.
In order to inform citizens about the progress of the work and the archeological discoveries made by INRA on the site of the Petite Marquise, the municipality of Echternach is organizing an information meeting at the Trifolion Echternach on 12 June 2026, as part of the European Archaeology days. All interested citizens are cordially invited to participate.
The evening will end with a wine of honor offered by the city of Echternach; the time will therefore be conducive to discussion and exchange of ideas.

Nascosti dietro la recinzione del cantiere, fino a marzo di quest’anno sono stati effettuati scavi archeologici più piccoli, in particolare nella “zona ombra” della ex strada di accesso al cantiere, Che era accessibile solo dopo la recinzione di costruzione e il ponte temporaneo che abbracciava le strutture storiche nell'area dell'ex Petite Marquise.

Al fine di informare i cittadini sullo stato di avanzamento dei lavori e delle scoperte archeologiche realizzate dall'INRA sul sito della Petite Marquise, il comune di Echternach organizza un incontro informativo presso il Trifolion Echternach il 12 giugno 2026, nell'ambito delle Giornate europee di Archeologia. Cachées derrière la clôture de chantier, des fouilles archéologiques de moindre envergure ont eu lieu jusqu’en mars de cette année, notamment dans la « zone d’ombre » de l’ancienne voie d’accès au chantier, qui n’était accessible qu’après la mise en place de la clôture de chantier et du pont provisoire enjambant les structures historiques dans la zone de l’ancienne Petite Marquise.
Aussi petite que cette zone ait pu être par rapport au reste du terrain, les découvertes qui y ont été faites sont d'autant plus importantes, car elles confirment et complètent à merveille les résultats des analyses et hypothèses précédentes.
Par ailleurs, nous présenterons également les analyses géophysiques récentes et les reconstructions virtuelles que nous avons réalisées à plusieurs endroits dans le cadre de l’étude des fouilles antérieures à Echternach et qui ont fourni des informations novatrices sur l’histoire du développement de la ville, en particulier dans la zone autour de l’abbaye.
Afin d’informer les citoyens de l’avancement des travaux et sur les découvertes archéologiques réalisées de l’INRA sur le site de la Petite Marquise, la Commune d’Echternach organise le 12 juin 2026, dans le cadre des Journées européennes de l’archéologie, une réunion d’information au Trifolion Echternach. Tous les citoyens intéressés sont cordialement invités à y participer.

Escondidas detrás de la valla del sitio de construcción, pequeñas excavaciones arqueológicas tuvieron lugar hasta marzo de este año, particularmente en la “zona de sombra” de la antigua carretera de acceso al sitio de construcción, Que solo era accesible después de la valla de construcción y el puente temporal que atraviesa las estructuras históricas en la zona de la antigua Petite Marquise.
