Self-guided tour of the Saint-Philippe Educational Campus
The Campus Éducatif et Ecologique Saint-Philippe is a 14-hectare site built by the Duchess of Galliera at the end of the 19th century. It consists of neo-Gothic buildings: a castle (the former orphanage) with a panoramic view of the Hauts-de-Seine, a priory, a chapel, as well as a landscaped park with remarkable trees, a French garden and greenhouses. The Saint-Philippe Educational and Ecological Campus was originally an orphanage intended to accommodate 300 orphans in order to provide them with accommodation, Christian education and apprenticeship. Today Apprentis d'Auteuil, which has managed the place since 1947, welcomes, educates, trains and inserts more than 600 young people with academic, family and social difficulties in its training institutions (college, high school) and reception (social residences and boarding houses).
